About Verity
I’m Verity Kelsey, a registered osteopath based in Sevenoaks, Kent.
I help people reconnect with their bodies so they can move more freely, recover well, and get back to the things they love.
My care is evidence-informed and strongly focused on movement rehabilitation. I combine hands-on treatment with exercise rehabilitation and health education, so you build strength, resilience, and confidence in your recovery.
Where it all started
My route into osteopathy started while I was training as an adult nurse at King’s College London, alongside playing a lot of hockey and running. Like any competitive sports, it came with a few hard knocks, and a run of back and knee injuries eventually led me to see an osteopath.
What surprised me was that it was never just about “fixing” the sore bit. My osteopath wanted the full picture, including how I was sleeping, how stressed I was, what I believed about my body, and what I needed to be able to do on the pitch and in day-to-day life. The plan combined hands-on treatment, exercise rehabilitation, and realistic changes I could actually stick to. More than anything, I came away feeling informed and in control of my recovery.
That experience landed at exactly the right moment. Nursing placements across surgical, intensive care, and oncology units had already taught me invaluable lessons in healthcare and in working with patients, but seeing a whole-person mindset in osteopathy made something click. It changed how I thought about healthcare, and it made me want to work in an active way that helps people feel capable, not dependent.
So I changed direction and completed a five-year, part-time Master’s degree in Osteopathy at the University College of Osteopathy (now HSU). Now, I practise in a way that is collaborative, evidence-informed, and movement-focused, because I believe there is a sport or movement practice for everyone and that everyone deserves to enjoy moving their body more.
Outside the clinic, you will usually find me outdoors with my dog, or enjoying cycling, strength training, and trail running. I love my work. It’s a huge privilege to help people manage pain, feel more confident in movement, and get back to the life that matters to them.
