I currently offer osteopathy appointments at the following times:

  • Tuesdays: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

To book, simply select your service, choose a Tuesday or Thursday appointment time, and confirm your booking in just a few clicks via our clinic software, Jane App.

Appointment lengths may vary depending on your needs. Prices reflect the level of care and expertise provided, not just the time spent. Each session is tailored to ensure the most effective treatment for you.

All bookings are handled online. If you have any questions that can’t be answered through our online system, please use the contact form to get in touch.

  • Ideal if you’re new to osteopathy or unsure where to begin. In this 30-minute session, we’ll discuss your current symptoms, take a brief medical history, and carry out an initial assessment to understand what’s going on in your body. This appointment does not include hands-on treatment, but you’ll leave with a clear understanding of your options and whether osteopathy is the right approach for you.

  • Your first visit to the clinic. We’ll discuss your symptoms in detail, take a full medical history, and carry out a thorough assessment before beginning hands-on osteopathic treatment tailored to your needs. Each session also includes personalised exercise rehabilitation advice — helping you continue your progress between visits. This session may include scar tissue therapy, sports strapping/taping, or sports massage if required/preferred.

If you are an existing patient from another clinic where I practice, please still book a New Patient Appointment when visiting Oaks and Folks Osteopathy.
This ensures we meet all legal and professional requirements before continuing treatment at this location.

  • For returning patients continuing their treatment plan. We’ll review your progress, reassess your condition, and continue with osteopathic treatment. Sessions also include time dedicated to exercise rehabilitation and self-care guidance, so you can manage your symptoms confidently between visits. This session may include scar tissue therapy, sports strapping/taping, or sports massage if required.

  • Recommended only if advised by Verity Kelsey. This longer appointment allows extra time for more complex presentations, multiple treatment areas, or additional exercise prescription. This session may include scar tissue therapy, sports strapping/taping, or sports massage if required.

  • During your first visit, I'll take a detailed case history covering your current concerns and overall health background. We'll discuss your work, sleep, stress, diet, values, and beliefs. This thorough approach helps me create a personalised treatment plan and determine if you need additional medical support. Keep in mind that I may not always provide hands-on treatment in the first consultation—this depends on your condition's complexity and what current evidence suggests would be most effective.

The examination includes observing your movements, performing hands-on assessment with guided movements based on your history, and conducting clinical tests when needed (neurological, cardiovascular, respiratory, or orthopedic). These tests may briefly reproduce your symptoms to help form a working diagnosis. I'll explain everything beforehand and ensure your comfort throughout.

After the examination, I'll share my findings and explain your working diagnosis, including potential underlying causes. Together, we'll review treatment options, discussing benefits, risks, and alternatives. I'll provide clear information to help you make informed decisions about your care. Through collaborative planning, we'll create an evidence-informed treatment approach that addresses the key factors affecting your condition while aligning with your personal goals and values.

  • Follow-up appointments focus on reviewing progress and adjusting care as needed. These sessions blend hands-on treatment with rehab exercises, personalised advice and educational support. If your specific condition requires a course of treatment, you may need several appointments scheduled closer together initially to make progress before spacing them out. I will never ask you to pay upfront for multiple sessions.

  • Your comfort and dignity are my top priorities. While athletic wear or form-fitting shorts make examination and treatment easier, I respect all cultural, religious, and personal preferences regarding modesty and will adapt my examination and treatment techniques to work effectively while you remain fully clothed. If you have any medical devices such as stoma bags or central ports we can work around them and find the most comfortable position for you to have treatment in.
